From the County CIO, KC Roestenberg
The ability of the County of Orange to fulfill and advance its mission is directly connected to our information technology environment.
Orange County Information Technology (OCIT) provides innovative IT solutions across County departments and agencies, including voice communications, network and internet access, data center services, applications development, IT security, and more. Our core mission is to deliver fiscally sound, reliable, and secure IT solutions that enable the County of Orange to provide quality services to its residents, visitors, and employees.
Our technology investments over the next several years will mirror the County’s overall focus on investing in infrastructure, modernizing systems and providing new services. We look to realize the benefits of a centralized IT operation, including innovation, research and development, mobility and consistent customer service. Strategic initiatives for FY 23-24 include a continued focus on strengthening system and data security; enhancing County systems and applications; implementing a high availability network; and system design enhancements.
The years ahead are foundational. Our IT Shared Services Strategy will serve as the roadmap to keep us on course and help us achieve our IT mission to provide fiscally sound, reliable, and secure IT solutions that support the County’s business needs now and into the future.
