From the County CIO, KC Roestenberg
The ability of the County of Orange to fulfill and advance its mission is directly connected to our information technology environment – the organizational structure, the plan, the tools and the people with the level of expertise to both execute for current needs and prepare for the future.
Orange County Information Technology (OCIT) provides innovative IT solutions across County departments and agencies for voice communications, network and Internet access, data center services, applications development and more. We strive to meet industry best-practices while providing quality business solutions to our customers. Key areas of focus for the department include implementation of a converged voice and data network, further implementation of Shared Services model and the establishment of enterprise collaboration tools within the County.
Our technology investments over the next several years will mirror the County’s overall focus on investing in infrastructure, modernizing systems and providing new services. We look to realize the benefits of a centralized IT operation, including innovation, research and development, mobility and consistent customer service.
The years ahead are foundational. Our IT Shared Services Strategy will serve as the roadmap to keep us on course and help us achieve our IT mission to provide quality, innovative, fiscally responsible and secure Information technology solutions that support the County’s business needs now and into the future.
